Chief Curator Lucinda Barnes To Retire

Lucinda Barnes, chief curator and director of programs and collections, will retire on June 29 after fifiteen years at BAMPFA. In addition to organizing over forty exhibitions (including the upcoming Push and Pull: Hans Hofmann), Barnes has played an important leadership role at BAMPFA, supervising the full curatorial division; overseeing major collection, development, management, and conservation initiatives; facilitating the addition of many important works to BAMPFA’s encyclopedic collection; and managing the complex logistics of moving the collection to the new building in downtown Berkeley.
